JacketPins (2 of 2)

Fall weather means a few things, one of them, and probably my favorite is jacket weather! Ever since I was old enough to be aware, I’ve been jacket obsessed. Something about layering and adding a small extra touch to a look excites me. Now that I’ve become a self proclaimed jacket master, I’ve started to enter the world of customization through pins.

Acrylic pins have been around for decades as souvenirs and fun pieces to add to jackets, hats, bags and anything else you want to differentiate. I’ve very recently jumped on the bandwagon and already have a decent little collection. Not only are they great for making your look stand out and showcase your personality, but they can be a fun way to remember trips and other adventures as well.

I decked out the whole front of my denim jacket but if you’d rather start slow, try only doing one or two. They also work great as a lapel pin for your suit or as a way to hold your tie in place. I’ve also seen people throw them into the area of a fedora where the brim meets the top.

What are some of your favorite pin brands? I’m trying to score more soon!

I'm Parker York Smith, a curious dude still very much figuring everything out. I hail from the Midwest but have been dwelling in Los Angeles for the last few years being a pretty stereotypical west coast transplant. I'm a fashion geek, I love to walk (a LOT) and I do my best to find the bright side. I'm extremely excited about this blog and hope that (with some hard work and luck) it turns into what I believe it can.
