Well…I’m not sure whether some of you are aware of this, but IT’S 80 DEGREES IN OCTOBER!!!! I don’t know what else to do but force myself to stay excited by the fact that I’m currently sweating – which I suppose is better than shivering.

Because of these facts, I’m bringing you a quick tip for fall on how to use your swim trunks all year long. I teamed up with Mr Swim NY, a New York based swimwear and basics line that creates elevated swimwear and casual apparel for affordable prices without sacrificing quality. I legitimately have like five or six pairs of their swim trunks and they’re one of the only swimwear brands that I wear.

Typically, my swimwear gets worn a lot during the summer and then stashed away in their drawer during the entirety of fall and winter. Not no mo’! It happened recently where I wanted something dark to wear but I couldn’t really get on board with jeans because it was in the 80’s outside. Therefore, I grabbed this black pair of swim trunks with a floral pattern. I love these because they don’t fit the mold of a traditional swim trunk. They’re slim and fitted but aren’t bright and bold like lots of my other pairs.

This tee is also from Mr Swim and it’s crazy soft and comfortable. The all black served as a protest of the hot weather for me – I know, it’s ridiculous.

While I was wearing this stuff I realized something…why am I only wearing swim trunks during the summer? They’re comfortable, functional, and have a liner, so I don’t have to wear underwear with them. I’ve started wearing them to the gym, for hanging around the house, quick errands, you name it. While the weather is staying above 75 on a consistent basis, swim trunks are staying in my wardrobe rotation. Anytime you need a functional pair of shorts, don’t sleep on your swim trunks.

Be sure to check out Mr Swim NY for a ton of great swimwear and casual apparel options. The tees are so nice and the trunks work great for a ton of different activities.
