One of my favorite things about being a blogger is the relationship I’m able to create with brands that I love. These relationships lead to invitations to things I NEVER would’ve thought possible before starting on this blogging journey. An example of this is when I was recently invited to celebrate with my friends at Rodd & Gunn, a New Zealand based brand that specializes in extremely wearable, highly stylish fashion for guys. I like to think of it as a brand that allows you to look your best without turning too many heads. Their fits and fabrics are all really excellent while remaining masculine, which is something I’m trying to focus more of my style towards.

The new Century City mall has been under renovation for a long time now, and Rodd & Gunn were smart about grabbing themselves a space in the new mall. The store is gorgeous and perfectly decorated. You know when you go into some stores and there’s just too much product for the size of the space so you’re overwhelmed…or with other stores where they seemingly only sell like 10-15 pieces in a 3,000 sq ft space? This store is a great medium of the two, which I love.

One of my favorite things Rodd & Gunn offers are their shoes. The sneakers are simplistic and clean and the boots are masculine but functional. Thankfully, they were nice enough to outfit me for the store opening, so I grabbed the green chelsea boots 2nd in line. They’re my new go-to boots.

Soft, comfortable fabrics are what my summer has consisted of and will continue to do so. This short sleeve linen button down was a great fit and left me feeling comfortable, stylish, and well suited for feeling my best. That’s what summer fashion is all about, right? TIP: when buying short sleeve button ups, I always size down. This way they’re a bit more fitted and flattering to the arms and waist.

Here’s a glimpse at the full look. These jeans are super soft and I love a wash this color because they can be worn during the daytime or our at night. A great crossover pair of denim is perfect if you’re looking for maximum usage with minimal cost. I’m such a fan of matching my tops and bottoms, allowing for my shoes or accessories to pop with a separate color, so the outfit worked out really nicely for me.

I had to get a shot with Gunner, the official Rodd & Gunn mascot. He’s a sweetheart and mainly just lays around most of the time. He’s traveled the world, so I was hoping to glean some of his worldly wisdom. It didn’t work, haha.

Be sure to check out Rodd & Gunn for classic looks, great fabrics, and staple wardrobe pieces that will last. If you’re looking to modernize your wardrobe without sacrificing masculinity, they’re one of my favorite brands that check that box. Also, if you’re around the new Century City mall, pop in and tell them I sent you!
