I’m back from the dead! Valentine’s Day, the business of life, they all take time. Also I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be launching my new blog (new name, new layout) in the next week.

Today I’m in recovery from being sick. Bouncing back from sickness is an issue of dressing myself very intentionally. As I’m sure most of you have experienced, being sick not only sucks during but once you’re better it’s sometimes difficult to get back to the daily grind. By wearing something that makes you feel good, you’re more likely to reactivate your motivation and get back on track. That’s the way I see it, anyways.

I scored my first ever pair of Doc Martens last week on super clearance and have to say that I’m loving them so far. The oxblood colorway is fun and different, not to mention I can tell that once these break in, they’ll likely be the most comfortable boots I own.

My girl got me this sweet new crewneck sweatshirt from Alternative for Vday and I was anxious to bust it out on the blog. Crewnecks are oft overlooked, I find. I personally always leaned towards v-necks because of the fact that they lay over a button up shirt so much more comfortably. As I’m diversifying my wardrobe I’m finding that crewnecks are great because they can be layered or worn on their own. I highly recommend checking out Alternative or Gap for their “lived-in” line. It’s a classic piece that will never go out of style, don’t be afraid to stock up.

Stay comfy, get healthy!

Look out for more details on the new blog!
