The Monday after the Oscars is always so bittersweet here in LA. On one hand, film is one of my truest loves so the show and the awards are always important to me. On the other hand, it’s the craziest, busiest time of year in this town. Street closings left and right…it’s a nightmare.
I worked all weekend at a magazine launch party and had to be looking sharp so today all I wanted to do was be comfortable. Casual layers are the best because they keep you warm while also allowing you the freedom to move about with a full range of motion. This hoodie from Gap and my lightweight trench are a great combo for a day of errands or hitting a local bar for a beer with friends. I’ve been seeing a lot of hoodies dressing down sport coats and overcoats in the shows this year and I have to say I’m all for it.
I recently scored these brown jeans from Levi’s and thought they paired very well with my Sperry x Band of Outsiders shoes. Also, a lightweight beanie is the best for keeping your hair under control when you’re too tired or unmotivated to spend time on styling it.
I love this outfit because it’s so comfortable but it’s still clear that you’re aware of how you look.Would you guys wear something like this?
Thanks for reading!
