So I’ve decided to focus more attention on the dapper side of fashion on the blog. There will definitely still be a nice blend of casual and dressy, but I’ve realized how much fun it is to dress up, so why not use this platform to do more of it?

I’m coming at you today in my new INC blazer from Macy’s. It’s 100% linen and as you can see from the pictures, a pretty sweet shade of red. INC is a great brand for guys looking to try new things in their wardrobe. The brand has a runway-inspired feel that is going to make statements without being too in people’s faces. Also, it’s a totally affordable option if you’re not trying to pay an arm and a leg for a modern suit and tie.

A good blazer is the best because it can be a pop of color in your outfit, as showcased here, or it can be a solid casual piece that you can count on never going out of style. Not everyone is going to down for a red blazer, which is fine, but I urge you to consider it. This one is great because it’s very comfortable while still remaining classy.

When wearing a statement jacket like this, I like to play everything else down a bit. I realize that white denim would normally not be a simple thing in an outfit, but when it’s paired with a brighter colored jacket, you lose the flash of the pants. I like the way that the white t-shirt and white jeans form a background, of sorts, for the jacket so as to let it really stand out.

Never forget that a well fitted t-shirt is a totally acceptable piece under a blazer if you’re going out on the weekend or trying to stay on the casual end of the spectrum. This shirt and the jeans are both from Uniqlo, one of my current favorite stores for basics.

The vintage Bruno Magli loafers are a fun way to anchor the look. Love a good slip on dress shoe. Also, these all black sunglasses from Warby Parker match with my black accessories from Mister. The metal watch is not something I commonly wear, but I’m trying to broaden my horizons. Plus, I think it works well with the slightly dressier theme of the look.

Is this something you’d wear or is it too Mr. Worldwide??

Stay smiling, my friends!
