I’m pumped to have teamed up with Steve Madden men’s division to present some of their current lineup of shoes and boots as well as accessories.

Today I’m talking about building an outfit from the ground up, starting with the shoes. This is something that I find myself doing very consistently because of my love for shoes and the fact that I like to do my best to wear as many of mine as possible. Steve Madden sent me these super sweet navy blue chukka boots recently and I thought they’d be the perfect shoe to demonstrate my process of building an outfit from the shoe up.

The first step in the process is to decide which shoes you want to wear. Next, decide whether you want the shoes to be showcased themselves or you’d prefer them to compliment something else in your outfit. With these, I wanted them to be the focal point in the outfit so then, when I went to the next step of deciding on my pants, I knew I wanted something understated and duller than the brightness of the blue in the shoe. I chose these workman style pants from Denham, which are amazing in their own right. Then, to assure that the boots were going to be my pop of color, I threw on this baggy hoodie from T by Alexander Wang that’s similar in color to the pants. Finally, A simple beaded necklace to add a bit of accessory and I’m finished!

If you’re not already a fan of Steve Madden, I highly recommend checking them out. Their affordable and the quality of their product is great. I have a couple pairs that have only gotten better with wear. Also, the versatility in their product line is top notch. If you’re looking for new boots, casual shoes or slip-ons, Madden has you covered.

What do you think of this outfit? Is it something you’d wear?

Stay happy, my friends!
