Splurge Worthy

At this point in my life I’m most definitely a “budget baller”, as they say (does anyone say that?). I don’t have tons of expendable income to spoil myself with extremely nice pieces. That being said, I think that there are certain instances in life where you need to splurge and go for that one thing that just screams your name.

That’s exactly what happened to me a couple of years ago when I found this leather jacket at Bloomingdales. It’s made by their in-store brand, 100% Italian leather, handcrafted in Italy! Crazy, I know. Thankfully I was lucky enough to find it during a major sale so I only ended up paying an arm for it rather than having to throw my leg in too. It’s easily my favorite jacket, lightweight enough to wear in the daytime but also quality enough that it keeps me warm during winter nights.

If there’s that one pair of shoes or that jacket that you’ve got your eye on, seriously consider it. I’m by no means saying that you should put yourself into debt over clothes, but the beautiful thing about fashion is that you typically get what you pay for. Not only has my jacket broken in to be more comfortable than it was when I bought it, but it’s softer and has fit itself to my body.

Lastly, if you’re gonna spend big bucks, be sure that what you’re buying is timeless. There’s no reason to spend all of your money on a fad piece that you’re going to love for two wears and then be sick of once it’s slightly out of style.

Share some of your favorite splurge pieces!

Thanks for reading!
