If you live here in LA or have the chance to come visit, I highly recommend checking out the abandoned Griffith Zoo. It sits back in the depths of Griffith Park and showcases some extremely cool views, graffiti and (my favorite, of course) choice photo ops.

I felt this would be the perfect location to show off my oldest and favorite pair of Levi’s. They’re the only jeans I’ve ever owned that I personally wore into submission. These days, lots of high end designers and the like offer distressed denim or something with pre-worn holes, etc. I definitely still have love for distressed jeans, they’re actually coming back in a big way, but there’s something about that one pair of totally worn out jeans that every man should own. I have every intention of wearing these until they completely disintegrate.

By combining these jeans with some canvas and leather Timberland boots and a 3/4 sleeve knit shirt, I’m not only crazy comfortable, but I feel like a million bucks even though my clothes are ripped and torn. There’s truly a correlation between feeling incredibly comfortable and exuding major confidence.

Throw in some various accessories, an arrowhead necklace, leather bracelet, Timex watch (obviously) and some slightly more high-fashion shades like these from Ashbury, and you’re setting yourself apart.

Look good, feel good, fellas. It’s really that simple.

I’d love to hear about some of your favorite pieces that you’ve worn into the dust. Share!

Thanks for reading!
