“Errand-Wear”: (n) the clothes worn while running errands

Are you like me and find yourself busier than ever on a regular basis these days? Do you ever wake up on Saturday or Sunday and dread putting on last night’s jeans? Because I most definitely do. A good pair of sweatpants is essential to every man’s wardrobe and with more brands pumping out better fits with higher quality materials, the task of finding your favorite “errand-wear” is thankfully easier than ever.

I’ve alluded to the notion that sweatpants are the new jeans on my site. That was before I put on these sweats from PRPS Jeans and realized that it’s ABSOLUTELY true. PRPS is a clothing company that takes Japanese styles and throws a uniquely American twist on them, creating a one of a kind style and quality of product that’s difficult to find in today’s Americana-inspired denim market. Their attention to detail and interesting fits set them apart.

These in particular, the “Sound” sweatpants are probably the most comfortable pair that I’ve worn in my life when taking into consideration my personal preference for materials and fit. They fall just right and are slim in all the right places, which is what a good pair of sweats should offer. They’re definitely in a higher price range than most, but if you’re looking for a tax return splurge, I say at least consider it.

I’m also wearing some of my other spring essentials for errand-wear. This thermal henley from Urban Outfitters is crazy soft and adds just the right amount of warmth for when the temperatures start to drop in the evenings. I’ve been starting to buy some of sweaters and casual wear in looser fits so as to add some flexibility and extra comfort, but I would only recommend it if the piece is already a slightly slimmer cut so as to avoid looking too much like your Dad (not that there’s anything wrong with that, Dads).

These sneakers from Greats Brand are my new favorite shoes, I’ll be doing a spotlight on them very soon as I pick up a pair of their new shoe, the Rosen. You always wants comfortable shoes for running errands and thankfully with all the stuff Greats, Nike, Adidas and New Balance have been putting out there are tons of great options that are functional and fashionable.

Accessory-wise, a simple drawstring bag from Forever 21 is a great way to keep your pockets as empty as possible so as to not drag down your PRPS sweats. Finished off with some over-ear headphones from Urbanears, because as great as natural city sounds can be, sometimes I’ve gotta listen to Childish Gambino (he’s a rapper, Mom).

Errand-Wear shouldn’t be overlooked when building your wardrobe, gents. Errands are one of the most effective ways to make you feel productive and if you know you look good while you’re completing those menial tasks, you’re going to feel even better!

What are some of your favorite brands or pieces for getting errands done??

Stay happy, my friends!
