My lovely girlfriend and I snuck into this cool courtyard next door today to shoot me in my awesome new Pony sneakers and vintage blazer. Pony is a brand from NYC who were huge in the 70’s and 80’s and have just reemerged recently with a line of their classically simple silhouettes as well as some other famous models. Check out their stuff at www.pony.com.

Anywho, I felt like it was time to revert back to a slightly more grown man way of style today. My last few posts have been monochromatic, fashion forward or just simply put…kinda weird. All of these I love, but I also want to remind everyone that sometimes it feels good to dress like your Dad. Don’t be afraid to wear a sports jacket and some casual pants instead of jeans and a hoodie.

I scored this sweet double breasted linen jacket from Goodwill awhile back and have been itching for the right time to display it on the blog. A casual blazer is every man’s best friend. As long as it fits well, which if you’re unsure of what well fitting means, go to your local department store and get measured! They’ll teach you the do’s and do not’s of suiting. Whether you’re someone who’s super into fashion or just an innocent bystander, there’s no excuse not to have clothes that fit. A good blazer is a simple piece and you’ll be able to wear it with all sorts of different outfits.

I chose to spruce up my outfit with some accessories like this hat from Goorin Bros, my trusty Timex and a sterling silver ring. If you’re not someone who’s into accessories, that’s totally cool. A comfortable jacket that fits, some casual pants or jeans and a t-shirt is all you need to enjoy your weekend!

Do you have a favorite blazer or casual jacket? Show it off this weekend! There’s no time like the present to be well dressed!

Thanks for reading!
