Boots and Shorts is a new thing for me.

Hippie Revival!

Gotta have fun in an outfit like this.

Decided to take this weekend out with a bang. It was hot (yet again) yesterday but I was in the mood to be weird, so I threw on my very lightweight shirt from BDG and one of my few pairs of short shorts.

I was at a “camping” themed event on Saturday afternoon and saw several people wearing boots with socks and shorts. It’s totally not something I would normally consider but after giving it a shot, I think it’s going to become one of my new go-to moves when I want to dress up a summer outfit.

Also, the bandana headband is not something I’m typically accustomed to, either. I’m in the process of growing my hair out, so anything that can aid in it not falling into my face all day is great. Not to mention, I don’t have to be that guy who’s running his fingers through his hair every ten minutes. The headband got a lot of attention and is also something I think I’ll turn into a new, more recurring, move.

Moral: when the mood strikes, give in! Throw on something crazy that you’d normally never combine and see what happens. Odds are people will respect you for pushing the limits and showing them that it’s more about having fun than following rules.
