Summer is Here!

Shades: Ashbury,  Necklace: LF, Sheer Shirt: H&M, Pretty Short Shorts: Ours, Watch: Timex, Shoes: Adidas Samba
Dudes, don’t be afraid to accessorize!
Notice the two finger ring?
Ring: Good Wood, I’m told it’s the skyline seen from Brooklyn

Also can be handy as a weapon, if needed.
A lot of people I meet think that when it comes to summer, fashion goes out the window because there are so many fewer items being worn or interesting things to combine together. I say, reach for accessories to make what would be a pretty basic outfit stand out.
Yesterday, it was next-level hot outside. When it reaches the upper 80’s and 90’s, you’ll want to have something you can grab that’s not only breathable, but light in color. Whites and light beiges will deflect the sun, therefore keeping you much more comfortable.
I went with an almost monochromatic look to keep myself as cool as possible. This is an outfit that could be worn at the country club or a Sunday concert. After all, it’s all about variety.
With something very casual and comfortable like this, I like to throw in some of my more outlandish accessories. The two finger ring isn’t something I throw on any day, it needs to be offset with something very casual, nothing overly edgy. The charm on the necklace is an arrowhead, which I find to be kind of cool because it’s nothing too big or distracting. It adds a nice touch, especially when it can just barely be seen under the sheer shirt.
Don’t be afraid to be seen! You can simultaneously be the most comfortable and the most fashionable guy in the room.

I'm Parker York Smith, a curious dude still very much figuring everything out. I hail from the Midwest but have been dwelling in Los Angeles for the last few years being a pretty stereotypical west coast transplant. I'm a fashion geek, I love to walk (a LOT) and I do my best to find the bright side. I'm extremely excited about this blog and hope that (with some hard work and luck) it turns into what I believe it can.
