Short Shorts

Sunglasses: Lifetime Collective, Shirt: Vintage, Short Shorts: H&M, Shoes: Nike Footscape, Dog: Luca

Easter Sunday seemed like a perfect day for me to rock my new H&M short shorts. They’re great because they look like dress shorts but they’re actually a bathing suit with four functional pockets and a built in lining (COMMANDO!).

I realize I look like a 1950’s Dad on the weekend, but short shorts are coming back whether you like them or not, so you should do your best to convince yourself they’re great. I obviously did.

As the weather continues to get warmer, your pants and shorts should be getting shorter and shorter.

These shorts can be used as an OPCS, too, guys. Regardless of what they might say, ladies love some man thigh. So give em what they want!!

I'm fully on-board with the short shorts trend. I was dubious at first but I'm only 5 foot 6 and kind of skinny and realized that mid-thigh shorts really are the way to go for shorter guys (and also others). I'm in the process of making some purchases of that length and will be phasing out my knee-length shorts as the summer progresses.

Yes! That's excellent. No matter one's height, shorts shouldn't be further than a couple inches above the kneecap, as fas as I'm concerned. The more of us who rock it, the more regular it becomes! Thanks for posting

Although there are a growing number of companies here in the States that now make short shorts, most of them still don't offer something that's fitted enough for skinnier guys and hence the leg opening can tend to be a little bit bigger than I'd like. Since Europe is still a few years ahead of us on this trend, the shorts I ended up getting were the so-called "micro shorts" from Topman, and they come in a 4-inch inseam which should hit someone at my height right at so-called "mid-thigh." They're fairly fitted, which works well for skinnier guys, and they also tend to be a little more formal than, say, Chubbies, which are great for just about anyone for more casual scenarios.
