I’m back! Landed in LA on Saturday after a long trip home to Cincinnati for the holidays. The trip was amazing! Saw so many old friends, spent quality time with my Mom and family, had the privilege of being a groomsmen in one of my best buddy’s weddings…an all around great trip.

My sister and brother-in-law, curators of The City Flea and all around cool kids, got me this sweet hat for Christmas. They got it at my new favorite store in Over the Rhine, Article. If you haven’t been, go…now…I’ll wait. It’s pricey but the quality of goods is unreal. I hope to one day soon collaborate with them to show you more of what they have to offer.

Anyway, I was eager to show off my new cap on the blog and talk about how important I think wool fedoras are in today’s man’s wardrobe.  They’re versatile beyond belief, not to mention a decently constructed one will last you forever if you take care of it.

Fedoras are perfect for dressing up or down, which you know I love. The one rule is that you don’t want to wear a wool hat like this one in the summer. Not only will you be sweating but you’ll look silly. Invest in good fedora style hats in different materials (wool for winter and straw for summer) and they make them in all sorts of colors.

They’re definitely something that you have to be sure you’re ready to rock, but once you establish yourself as a fedora person, you’ll never look back, I guarantee it!
