Christmas Gift Alert! Black Timex!
See you soon, Cincy!

As the holidays draw near, so does my trip back to Cincinnati (my hometown) to celebrate Christmas and one of my best buddy’s weddings on NYE. Going home is a rarity for me these days, which sucks, but when I have the opportunity, I do what I can to make the best of it.

My girlfriend Jaclyn and I celebrated our Christmas together this afternoon and it got me excited to post. We went up to the roof of her complex to gain some perspective on how great we have it here in LA and how excited we are to be going back to our hometown for the first time together.

Today’s outfit is a fun one for me because I feel like it’s stylish without being pretentious while also remaining EXTREMELY comfortable. Every dude needs at least one pair of workman style pants and a denim jacket. It’s a perfect combination.

Growing up in the midwest, fall and winter can be brutally cold. I learned early on that layering is the secret to looking and feeling good in the chilly weather. Don’t feel like once the temperature starts to drop you need to bust out your heavy coat and call it a day. Layering with a shirt, sweater and jacket can be as warm as a coat without the annoyance of sweating once you arrive to your destination.

Layers paired with sneakers or boots, topped off with a straw fedora from Goorin Bros, it’s 21st century farmer chic!

Also, like it or not, the 90’s are coming back and tying your layers around your waist or shoulders is acceptable. Embrace it, it’s better than carrying it around or wearing it and sweating your ass off inside while the heat is blasting.
