So it’s my first post on the new blog and I was feeling a little zany. I’ve been making a concerted effort to wear sweatpants more in the past few months after years of being a strictly denim guy. It’s great these days because you can find well cut, comfortable sweats that don’t look like you just rolled out of bed. These, from Toddland, are not only comfortable but they showcase my American pride (Murrica!). They wear well with my Nike Dunks and give me that perfect balance of comfort and style.

If you’re interested in wearing more sweats, I recommend complementing them with something a bit more formal up top…and I mean a BIT. Here, I’m wearing a linen shirt from Gap and my favorite deconstructed lightweight blazer, also from Gap. Every man needs a jacket like this. Something wearable with a t-shirt or a shirt and tie that’s fitted and totally versatile. I’m seeing more of them pop up as tailoring continues to rise…go get yourself one.

Accessories are essential for me, always. I love this handmade vintage scarf and it just so happened to match my socks perfectly (happy accident!). Throwing a scarf around your neck and tucking it into your jacket adds a touch of detail that’s going to help you stand out from the crowd. Also, as per usual I’m rocking my Timex. Has anyone else purchased one yet??

How do you guys combine business and casual? What are some of your favorite combos?

Thanks for reading!
